My comeback story is a bit different. It is about how many times I have "comeback" to TCO for my orthopedic care. I am a 75 year old woman with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. I first met Dr. Johnson in 1999 when he performed a perfect hip replacement (it is still there). But my story really begins on October 29th, 2001 when I tripped on an expansion joint of a jetway in Detroit, as we were changing planes to come from Florida to Minneapolis. I fractured my right femur right in the jetway. I was taken to the U of Michigan hospital where they surgically placed a pin and 2 screws. Two days later, I flew back to MN. Six months later, the pin broke, and Dr. Johnson made several attempts at repairing things and eventually did another hip replacement. Since then, Dr. Johnson has cared for me when I had a spontaneous fracture of my right tibia plateau and emergency surgery was needed. I got a new knee and a new metal tibia plateau. My husband and I were so grateful for the skill of Dr. Johnson. Now on May 30th, 2019, he will be doing a total knee replacement on my left knee. When it came time to decide on this, we had no hesitation to call upon Dr. Johnson.
